The Firm
Pearson Hardman was born from a simple idea: that the most complex legal challenges require a level of dedication and intellect that large, volume-based firms cannot provide.
Founded in 2004 by Jessica Pearson and Daniel Hardman, the firm quickly established itself as a disruptor in the New Zealand legal market. We deliberately chose to remain a boutique practice, accepting only cases that matter. This allows us to maintain a partner-to-associate ratio that ensures our most experienced minds are hands-on with every file.
We believe in the adversarial system. We believe that zealous representation is the cornerstone of justice. And we believe that winning isn't everything – it's the only thing that justifies our clients' trust in us.
"We do not strive to be the biggest firm. We strive to be the one the other side fears most."
Our Philosophy
Law is not just about statutes and precedents; it is about strategy, psychology, and leverage. We approach every case as a chess game, anticipating our opponents' moves three steps in advance.
We are not here to hold your hand. We are here to solve your problem. Our clients come to us when the stakes are highest, and we deliver results that others deem impossible.
